A Tale of 3 Painters… Week 3 Summary

As the sun begins to set on our painting time for this project it seems that yours truly is the one lagging behind…

Michael's finished models

Michael posted on Monday that he had finished Ryle and The Hunter and, it has to be said that, he has done a fantastic job. I keep harping on about him painting outside of his comfort zone, but this didn't show in the final result. He's managed to produce two superb models that will look great as part of the finished crew.

Hoffman with harness

Andy posted on the same day about his finished Watcher model. He also showcased the progress with Hoffman. With the painting all but complete on the man himself, Andy has switched his attention to the harness, which provides enough of a challenge for any painter. From the WIP shot above it looks like he's got it completely under control.

The Mechanical Attendant

This week has been all about The Mechanical Attendant for me. I flagged up my poor start, trying to paint yellow as my armour colour of choice. But before I could regret my decision making too much I managed to pull it around and now Hoffman's totem is in good shape going into the weekend.

So, with Michael finished and Andy not far behind him, the pressure is on me to get things wrapped up this weekend. With a bit of luck I should get the models finished and all back together in time for some photographs and a blog post or two before the trip to see Joey Berry and the crew's first Malifaux battle!

Alongside the painting progress, we managed to add another supporter to the list. SnM Stuff have been very supportive and will be contributing to the final auction pot. They are a fantastic supplier of gaming extras and essentials – our thanks go out to them.

I will be showcasing the actual items contributed by our supporters in a blog post soon – very excited about that!

As much as we are having fun working on this project, it is for charity. If you enjoy reading about our progress please donate towards our final total – even if it's only £1 – via the donate button at the top of the page or on the Cancer Research UK website directly.
