als...yes the regen rolls during the match are key.

also to make sure you know - though I don't think it has happened yet, when you kill a player outright (any player on his team but the troll) which is a 61-68 result on the injury table - you get your zombie immediately!

surrounding the ball doesn't just help with picking it up either, it should make it harder for him to even get close to the ball to start - ideally here is how I would start when receiving;
1- move a free ghoul to the square immediately behind the ball (no dice)
2- if you have one move a free zombie to in front of the ball, diagonally on the side you expect the opponent to push (if you need to free up a zombie, try to do it using a wight to block - since you setup second this should be possible)
3- if there is a vulnerable opponent, get an assist and blitz him with your wight - then if possible get him in between opponents and ball.

then you could either pick up ball with ghoul or attempt blocks with mummies. try to get 3 die blocks with mummies, you need more than double their strength to roll 3 dice, which is only 2 assists.Tristan Mhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14542205146980688446noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5660965914860481092.post-25261717744783040932013-12-30T22:52:50.945+00:002013-12-30T22:52:50.945+00:00Aw shucks, another bad day at the office for the R...Aw shucks, another bad day at the office for the Raiders! I was struggling to pick the thing up and didn't get as far as attempting the pass. It's been a recurring theme so far unfortunately.

Even having multiple tackle zones around the ball doesn't seem to stop the Orcs – the ball just gravitates towards them, even when they drop it… lol.The Dark Templarhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03051984305736707874noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5660965914860481092.post-25759164998175900832013-12-30T20:29:17.626+00:002013-12-30T20:29:17.626+00:00Just wanna make sure you are taking your regen rol...Just wanna make sure you are taking your regen rolls? a 4+ and your player returns to the reserves box from the dead & injured box and whatever the injury result is ignored. Very large benefit!

A tip for ball protection - you always want to make your safe moves (no dice rolling!) first - I'd suggest you put a couple pieces around the ball first before attempting to pick up - that way at least you have multiple tackle zones on the ball if you fail and if you are fortunate you can get a free second kick at the can in a free catch attempt with a lucky bounce.

Neither of your teams should really be passing all that much - but especially the undead since you have neither pass, nor catch skills (at least the orcs can reroll a pass for free with their thrower and save their reroll for the catch)Tristan Mhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14542205146980688446noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5660965914860481092.post-66650789813268335642013-12-30T14:56:04.119+00:002013-12-30T14:56:04.119+00:00Good report sir.
