The narrowing of the field to avoid getting crowd-surfed will reduce his gutters freedom effectively.

Witches are also perfect pieces to give wrestle/tackle. With jump up wrestle is less of a concern and "wrackle" pieces (especially with frenzy) have great odds to take down any player regardless of their skills.Tristan Mhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14542205146980688446noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5660965914860481092.post-92077598827607569602014-01-20T21:44:37.300+00:002014-01-20T21:44:37.300+00:00Thanks for your perspective Tristan. It makes a lot of sense – it's very easy to get distracted by the easy hits, etc. rather than concentrating on the things you should be doing.

I'm leaning towards a Witch Elf ultimately but may go for the re-roll initially as I think I could use it – we'll see what I decide in the end.The Dark Templarhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03051984305736707874noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5660965914860481092.post-27504899732485885992014-01-20T21:40:30.948+00:002014-01-20T21:40:30.948+00:00You need to get your humans off the bench and dist...You need to get your humans off the bench and distract these Orcs and vermin!
Haha. The Dark Templarhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03051984305736707874noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5660965914860481092.post-65095116203996205472014-01-20T20:42:33.527+00:002014-01-20T20:42:33.527+00:00Now come on, a point is a point and you scored 2 t...Now come on, a point is a point and you scored 2 touchdowns - things are on the turn my friend. Every dice roll is a chance to turnover. It does sound like you are getting pickier about using your rerolls. It's a brave man who doesn't reroll double skulls on your first turn, and based on the results your courage was repaid.

A lot of the balance of blood bowl is weighing up things you _want_ to do (like hit an opponent who is weak or vulnerable - but not necessarily important) vs. things you _need_ to do, like cover the ball and protect your ball carrier.

Bashy teams tend to want to throw tons of blocks, and it can work out well unless you end up with a couple poor rolls in a row and it stymies your momentum. Same with agility teams dodging out of tackle zones - great when it comes off but when you can't afford that reroll you've suddenly opened a huge gap for your opponent. Dump off is a good example - yes you could completely mess up your opponents plans, but it's entirely possible you make it so he doesn't even need to hit you to pick up the ball.

My vote would go to witch elf. They are game winning pieces par excellence. The frenzy will mean Bull cannot just line up his guys anywhere near the sidelines for fear of crowd pushes. Have a google of "chain pushing" - it's very important to really raise your BB game.Tristan Mhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14542205146980688446noreply@blogger.com
