I like the face-value perspective, probably the best way to go and no try and 'interpret' things too much! The Dark Templarhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03051984305736707874noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5660965914860481092.post-19541645864781250272017-07-19T17:17:06.577+01:002017-07-19T17:17:06.577+01:00I think we'll grow to love it :pI think we'll grow to love it :pThe Dark Templarhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03051984305736707874noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5660965914860481092.post-57779909842504442792017-07-19T17:16:44.879+01:002017-07-19T17:16:44.879+01:00Just like the old days ;)Just like the old days ;)The Dark Templarhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03051984305736707874noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5660965914860481092.post-55090009092747450112017-07-19T13:45:12.483+01:002017-07-19T13:45:12.483+01:00Great fun. I think I have the bug for it again.Bullcher Febhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00013163135492797119noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5660965914860481092.post-87783006087941075022017-07-19T13:40:35.215+01:002017-07-19T13:40:35.215+01:00That's a very interesting point about unlearni...That's a very interesting point about unlearning stuff! I can't remember where I saw it now but it someone said the new rules work best when you take them at face value - if it doesn't say you can't do something, then you can.

To answer a few of your questions, no there isn't such a thing as difficult terrain now, but you have to take account of it when you move, so for example if you move over a 2" high wall that would take 4" of your movement.

Vehicle combat is a weird one, but doesn't take account of you charging so the 6+ to hit represents the difficulty of running someone over if they're trying to get out of the way.

Yes, stuff arriving from reserve counts as having moved (sure it's mentioned somewhere - just checked and it is, P177 under the reinforcements section in the right hand margin).

As for shooting damaging vehicles, yes, technically they can, but the odds against are extremely high (30 boys should average 1 wound on a rhino) and it's reasonably appropriate to represent weight of fire gradually inflicting damage on something.Triple Dhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18002702481127525157noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5660965914860481092.post-90880832679516279912017-07-19T12:19:22.670+01:002017-07-19T12:19:22.670+01:00Great to hear that you and Bull have been duking i...Great to hear that you and Bull have been duking it out again and interesting to hear your thoughts and the new addition.
